Whether you are feeding your baby with homemade or jars of baby foods – it is very vital that you know how to maintain a healthy diet for your baby. In fact, it is easy to start your list of healthy baby foods even if you are outside visiting some friends, or enjoying a family picnic on weekends.

Go for Sliced Fruits – Fresh fruits like bananas and apples are very nutritious to your little ones. You can always prepare a handful of fruits that your baby loved to eat, and safely packed into a small plastic ware or baby containers to help you feed your baby with healthy foods even if you are not at home.

Peel Fresh Vegetables – Peeled carrots is always a long-term favorite of babies. You can slice long strips of peeled carrots and put it along with the containers of sliced fresh fruits for your infant. You can prepare and slice the carrots the night or an hour before the planned outdoor activity, and refrigerate it for an hour or so to help create a pleasant crisp to your baby. Be sure to thinly slice the carrots to avoid your baby from choking issues.

Prepare Mashed Foods – This is a perfect idea if your baby is still a month to five months old. You can opt for mashed potatoes, mashed squash, or some fruits, though be sure to serve and packed a freshly made mashed food for your little one. You can prepare this food the night before the expected trip, or a few hours before the expected outdoor activity.

Go for Jar Baby Foods – There are plenty of healthy baby foods that are served in jars. If your baby loved these types of foods, then it is a good thing to feed your little one if you are in any outdoor venues. Be sure to ask for any recommendation from your baby’s pediatrician with regards to any jar baby foods that are healthy to your baby.
